AURA, in collaboration with the Northern Plains UAS Test Site (NPUASTS) and with sponsorship from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), has completed comprehensive flight tests evaluating the performance of our aviation grade voice relay service during beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations. These tests demonstrated real time voice clarity and low latency performance aligned with RTCA DO 377 standards, validating our hybrid UHF/VHF architecture across multiple BVLOS scenarios. Using the POLQA standard — widely used in aviation, telecom, and emergency services — voice intelligibility met or exceeded FAA benchmarks for both male and female voice samples. This work reflects what our team has built: a reliable, secure, aviation dedicated communications network designed to support safe integration of crewed and uncrewed aircraft into the National Airspace System.
