Kevin Steen

Chief Executive Officer

Kevin Steen is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AURA, leading the company's strategic direction and growth in providing innovative and secure communications solutions for the aviation and critical infrastructure sectors. With more than two decades of experience in technology business development and operational leadership, he is recognized for his strong customer relationships and proven track record in balancing strategy with execution.

Before joining AURA, Kevin served as CEO of the combined Eutelsat America Corp. (EAC) and OneWeb Technologies (OWT) entity. In this role, he oversaw the integration of teams and businesses, driving the company’s overall strategic direction. His leadership was pivotal in establishing the company as a leading provider of secure satellite communications connectivity to the U.S. government globally.

Earlier, Kevin was CEO of iDirect, a market-leading government and commercial satellite communications technology provider. Under his leadership, iDirect pioneered the satellite industry’s first ground segment platform supporting a global network footprint, enabling the transition to High Throughput Satellite (HTS) architectures. His strategic vision helped iDirect become the technology partner of choice for top satellite operators and service providers, doubling the company’s revenue and market share.

In addition to his CEO roles, Kevin held senior leadership positions at SAP Americas as Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions. He also worked with early-stage startups that were later acquired by Fortune 100 companies. He holds an MBA from Northeastern University and a BS from the University of Denver. Kevin also serves on several boards, providing financial and operational advisory expertise.
