Heather Samartino

Vice President, Finance

Heather Samartino serves as the Vice President of Finance at AURA Network Systems. With nearly two decades of financial operations experience in the telecommunications industry, she oversees financial reporting, accounting, and audit management, while supporting operational and financial strategy, budget and financial planning, systems of internal controls, revenue assurance, and procurement services.

During her tenure at AURA, Heather has held various roles, including Controller and Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. She has been at the helm of accounting, budgeting, and forecasting strategies, integrations, and radical problem solving. Throughout the company’s formative years, she relied on her expertise and previous small-business experience to assist in several other internal functions, driving key initiatives and improvements across the board.

Before joining AURA, Heather was the Controller for the C-Band Alliance (CBA), a satellite industry consortium committed to clearing valuable spectrum resources to advance 5G wireless deployment across the country. In this role, she played a pivotal part in financial planning and reporting, enabling the consortium to achieve its strategic objectives. She also held the position of Accounting Manager at OTA Broadcasting, overseeing daily accounting operations and reporting for more than a dozen television stations, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.

Heather received a master’s degree in accountancy from Western Carolina University.
