Ginger McClendon

Executive Vice President, Technology & Engineering

Ginger McClendon serves as the Executive Vice President of Technology & Engineering at AURA Network Systems. She is responsible for the visionary development and strategic deployment of the company’s greenfield aviation communications network, encompassing network architecture design, product engineering, and technology labs to meet overall business objectives. With three decades of wireless industry experience, Ginger advances AURA's service offerings and oversees customer integration, validation, and testing projects. She also supervises the strategy and implementation of core, RAN, transport, software engineering (including DevOps and Data Services), and network operations.

Before her current role, Ginger was AURA’s Senior Vice President of Software and Infrastructure. Her career also includes an advisory role at Contino, where she provided premium consulting services to Fortune 500 clients in the technical and financial sectors. There, she drove the delivery of site reliability engineering (SRE) and DevSecOps for cloud, AI, and machine learning capabilities, specializing in future-state transformations that yielded positive ROI and met critical revenue and efficiency objectives.

At Somos, Ginger served as Vice President of Engineering, leading the development of new products and services while transforming legacy infrastructure, applications, and policy. Her efforts in establishing Agile methodologies resulted in significant cost reductions and improved time-to-market.

Ginger's previous roles in the wireless industry include senior positions in technology innovation, architecture, strategy, planning, and development. She is recognized for introducing novel approaches to voice and multimedia, business intelligence/analytics, and transport and backhaul services for next-generation enterprise-wide network management.
